WHAT TO EXPECT
Our horse stables and summer headquarters are located one-mile west of the Blinking Light (US 64 & Hwy 434) in Angel Fire — a 30-40 minute drive from Taos, Red River, Eagle’s Nest, or Cimmaron, and under 2 hours from Santa Fe, Las Vegas and Raton.
“There’s gold in them thar’ mountains!” Our Gold Panning tour is one of our most popular horseback rides; great for groups of friends, work outings and family’s. We offer this fun guided adventure in half day tour, which include a packed lunch, riding instructions and all your gold panning needs! We will start the day at the Road Runner Ranch where you will meet and get to know our horses, from there you will journey out with one our experienced guides leading you into the Carson National Forest, following the Elliot Barker trail we head to the Elliot Barker Creek where your search for riches begins. “Yes, we have found gold!”
