Viva Vino! While chef inspired gourmet river trips are not new, NMRA was the first in New Mexico to include the wine makers themselves to our Gourmet Wine Pairing trip and create a truly unique and wonderful experience. That was our first Specialty trip back in 2012 with our long time and continued partners at Vivac Winery. To this day, it remains our most popular Rio Chama Adventure. Since then we have evolved to offering more river adventures that include the wonderful, historic wines of Northern New Mexico. Many don’t realize that the oldest wineries in the country are found in our state dating cak to the Spanish Colonial era. Those same grape varieties are now being highlighted by a new generation of wine makers that are winning awards and showcasing New Mexico once again as a worthy wine destination.
