Family Rafting With Kids

New Mexico River Adventures has lots of river trips that are suitable for families rafting with kids and small children.

For kids 5 years and older we offer either the ½ day Rio Grande Racecourse or the full day Rio Grande Gorge trips. Both trips offer family oriented Class II and III whitewater rapids that are sure to excite children but not scare them. Our exceptional guides are trained in whitewater safety, advanced first aid and, most of all, risk management and judgment, so you can be assured that your family rafting vacation is being led by a river professional.

Whitewater safety is our top priority and rafting your family safely downstream is our goal. For families with children younger than 5 we offer a ½ day float trip with no rapids at all. ½ day trips (lasting about 3 hours) depart 4 times daily, every day of the week, all season. Full day trips (lasting 6 hours) meet at 9am every day and provide an excellent riverside lunch to compliment the day. We provide all the necessary equipment (guide, PFD, rain gear etc.) you need for an excellent day on the Rio with your family and children.
